From the desk of Training Co-ordinater

Ten years ago along with my colleagues we had envisioned an institution which will offer different training and skills to the youths of rural area for the development of rural communities. As a result Kathmandu Training Center was established in June 2002.KTC has privileged of getting affiliated with Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), a government body. We have been conducting 15 months Social Mobilization Course for 10 years. The sole objective of the training center is to mobilize the unemployed youth of rural in developing the Nepalese communities. After completion of 15 months training the social mobilizers are able to mobilize the community towards development. Within 10 years KTC has produced near about 322 committed social mobilizers. At present these social mobilizers are serving rural communities through various GOs, NGOs, INGOs and CBOs.

Besides these we also have been conducting Short Package Training for developing competent human resources. We have been designing Short Package Training course as per demand of other organizations. Most of the training organized has been successful because we provide skillful training in family environment.

We have already trained near about 5000 participants in these 10 years of time.KTC is one of the best institution we can offer to all the people whose main goal is to develop our country from the grassroot level through mobilizing youths.

So I would like to request individuals, government bodies, non-government bodies to support us in our objective to produce skilled human resources for our country.

Thanking You

Padma Shakya
